Jason Segel – forced to lose over 15 kg for “The Five-Year Engagement”

Since Englishwoman Emily Blunt is slim, and pretty, producers of Universal Pictures studio have imposed to Jason Segel to get weak at least 15 kilograms to make a successful pair with her on the big screen.

Having been a colleague of Emily in fantasy adventure “Gulliver’s Travels” from 2010, Jason interprets the romantic comedy “The Five-Year Engagement” in the role of the future husband of Britain and not in a maximum physical form before shooting began , was forced to work with a nutritionist to lose unsightly weight.

Attending at the show of the moderator David Letterman, actress Michelle Williams testified that producers considered him too much body to convince people that could ever cause Emily Blunt’s romantic interest, and they suggested following a strict diet.

“I was forced to lose weight for this film. It was the wish of the studio’s President. Was told that I must be credible that Emily Blunt would ever choose me to be her husband, which seems fair. I had to lose about 15.8 kg. They sent me a coach on the set and I had to work with him twice a day. He also followed me all day to see what I eat”, confessed the actor aged 32 years.

The star of “The Muppets”, “Bad Teacher” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” admitted that had not follow the rules religiously and whenever the opportunity arose, had paid his colleagues to create diversions on the set of film and give him a chance to get out of nutritionist watching: “What they had not anticipated was that I am very smart and I play a chef in the movie, so there are plenty of scenes in which I must eat. So I paid my co-distribution with phenomenally large amounts to confuse lines during filming, so I could continue to eat”.
