Joel Edgerton and Jessica Chastain – same story, two different perspectives

Australian Joel Edgerton and the North American Jessica Chastain will be filming colleagues in the untitled thriller movie by Kathryn Bigelow on capturing terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden, but have just struck a deal with director and writer Ned Benson and producer of Cassandra Kulukundis from the company Myriad Pictures to take the lead roles in two projects as interesting as it is original in the concept called “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His” and “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers”.

Both romantic drama explores the relationship of a married couple for a period of crisis, in “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His” the events were reported in terms of her husband, a restaurant owner in New York, and in “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers” the events are presented in terms of wife who returns to college to finish her education. The two movies will be independent, none of which is a sequel of the other, so that can be viewed by spectators in any order they choose to watch, will be released simultaneously in cinemas.

According to Collider.com, Ned Benson also assumed duties as director and screenwriter for the two projects, although he has put signature only on short films “Four Lean Hounds”, “Yes” and “The Westerner”, carrying advanced negotiations with Oscar winner William Hurt to be part of the distribution.

Nominated for an Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA for her supporting role of Celia Foote in drama “The Help”, although there are some who say he deserved rather to be nominated for the performance from the drama “The Tree of Life”, Jessica Chastain (30 years) will be pursued in 2012 in horror, “Mother”, the drama with Shakespearean inspiration “Coriolanus”, crime drama “Wettest County” and an untitled romantic drama of the director Terrence Malick. Joel Edgerton (37 years) has just released the Sundance Movie Festival drama with elements of mystery “Wish You Were Here” and is the starting line drama with fantasy elements “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” and the 3D remake of “The Great Gatsby”.
