According to GameInformer, Ubisoft wants that Assassin’s Creed III to be accessible for newcomers on the series, while still retaining all references to the old title Assassin’s Creed, so familiar to hardcore fans. The new hero is the son of a pilgrim and of a British woman from the tribe Mohawk. His Indian name is Ratohnhake’ton but will recommend as Connor in the game to be better seen by pilgrims.
It seems that in Assassin’s Creed III we will have the opportunity to experience some of Connor’s childhood and the conflict between the pilgrims and the Mohawk tribe. Reproduction of such large-scale battles will not be a problem for the engine of Assassin’s Creed III, fully restored for this game.
The action will take place, as we knew, during the War of Independence that led to United States (1753-1783). Again we have several areas to explore: the cities Boston and New York, and The Frontier, a gaming environment that promises to be 1.5 times larger than Rome from Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Ubisoft boasts that almost one third of the game will be held in The Frontier, the gameplay is adapted for this purpose.
Thus, there you can climb on trees and rocks, and new animations for the main character, especially for Connor and not taken from old titles of the series. Also, as can be seen in picture, The Frontier will be peopled by wild animals, Connor being able to hunt. Will be preserved the economic system introduced by Assassin’s Creed II, but with substantial changes. For example, Connor will be able to market the hunted animal skins.
About the fighting, Assassin’s Creed III will bring major changes: it will use a new system of combat, focused on offensive and speed of movement, will be eliminated the possibility to make target lock an enemy that is and will be used a dynamic camera, which will focus on important moments in the game. In terms of weapons, Connor will keep the hidden blade characteristic for assassins, but will be available a tomahawk, a knife, a bow with arrow or a gun with powder.
