Sony just announced the event “PlayStation Meeting 2013“, scheduled for February 20, 2013. With a suggestive motto – “See The Future” PlayStation Meeting 2013 will be held in New York, inviting the Japanese giant specialized media and investors at this event.
All this indicates impending deployment notice of the next generation of PlayStation consoles – most likely called PlayStation 4. Moreover, industry sources of the Wall Street Journal already confirmed the debut of the new consoles PlayStation Meeting 2013.
PlayStation 4 was developed under the code name Orbis and will use the technology developed by AMD. Rumors indicate a configuration consisting of an APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) with 8-core AMD, a generous amount of RAM (from 4 to 8GB) and an AMD video chip architecture based on Southern Islands.
PS4 will be the successor to “old” PlayStation 3 console launched in March 2007 in Europe and sold over 70 million copies to date. Was the first PS3 game console equipped with a Blu-ray optical drive, and over the years, enjoyed great exclusive titles like God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Heavy Rain or Killzone and Uncharted series.
