Capcom will proceed with the arsenal of the strategy to promote their new Microsoft RPG Dragon’s Dogma. In 2007, to pave the way for the upcoming launch of Halo 3, people at Microsoft have included the beta client of the new adventures of Master Chief on the same disc with the game Crackdown, in trying to get sales as good for the latter.
Capcom will repeat the maneuver in the spring, “the defendants” as Resident Evil 6 and Dragon’s Dogma. Thus, in the package of each game Dragon’s Dogma will find a code through which can be downloaded the first demo of the future Resident Evil 6. Xbox 360 users will have access to this demo from July 3, 2012, while PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait until September 4 to use the code download for the demo version of Resident Evil 6.
Dragon’s Dogma is a game type role playing game (RPG) developed by the team behind the older Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 4, which brings a lot to Demon’s Souls, but the emphasis much more pronounced on the narrative side.
Dragon’s Dogma will be released on May 22, 2012 in United States of America and in Europe on May 25, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. If the game will enjoy success, in view of the launch strategy from Capcom, Dragon’s Dogma is likely to be released on the PC. Resident Evil 6 will be released on November 20, 2012, for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, PC version is also planned.
