The Experiment from The Adventure Company

The Experiment provides a very interesting game experience because of the perspective which they offer. Thus, the player does not take possession of a virtual alter ego no longer controls who knows what super hero. Owner of an unknown identity (we can well believe that the character behind the camera to identify the player himself), you are in a position to help a character escape from a boat that apparently had a terrible accident.

The character, Lea Nichols, is part of the scientists working on a confidential mission: studying a newly discovered species (tyriades) and synthesizing a substance that has issued the same beneficial effects on the human body (oxidryn hydroxides). The entire crew dead or missing, her role is to guide the player through various rooms and Leah, as they get, it has flashbacks to what happened. The reconstruction is also possible through various accounts members which the player finds in the game. By reading their files or emails received, the player was internal conflicts or other problems with the crew.

All this sounds very good for ideas. Unfortunately, implementation is not the happiest. Theoretically, control is very simple: follow the character through rooms that are in that area and you want to go in a certain place, turn on the light. All of these are not very user friendly, because in most temples player will have to step through a lot of windows. First map of the area to be left open all the time, you have a window with what is seen, if the game at another room, another window will open, finally, if you want to make certain adjustments to the camera for a new window will be required.

On the technical side the game does not stay great. I mean here not even negligible load times, so the load, and the passage from one area to another. And how the character will walk pretty much abandoned ship, walking will not be the most convenient. If we synthesize in a few sentences The Experiment’s specific adventure, I would say that any new idea or innovation is welcome.
