The campaign is structured exactly as in Dark Crusade, several small to large changes. First we can choose a race that we want and we start in a different part of the map, with a slightly altered plot. From here, the only difference from the Dark Crusade is that the map is not composed of one planet, with four planets waiting to be conquered and cleared of enemies. Speaking about the race, I must also mention the 2 new swordsman nations that we can control in this expansion.
First, though not quite so unusual and unexpected, is the Dark Eldars, a race like Chaos Marines, that was separated from mother Eldar race. Dark Eldars are pretty much the same types of units and abilities as original Eldars, but they have some stronger units. The second race but is more special, with no other like included in the game. The Sisters of Battle is a race of women dedicated to cleaning the universe of aliens, traitors and other unfair or impure beings, the more violent methods.
We spent the same gameplay of Dawn of War series, building military bases out of which we use to many more epic battles and the strategic points that will have to conquer to take over different territories. Nothing changed even at the interface or control units. The only change of the gameplay will be felt by those who are aware of the franchise when it comes to the two new races, but in fact the buildings and units are about as structured as the rest of the races.
The graphics are again, about the same as in Dark Crusade. Some touches have been made, some shift added, some textures corrected and of course a handful of optimization. The two new races benefit from building with a unique look and very well done.
