Can Dunn make a comeback?

Any game gets its hamper from outstanding specimen, and Alex Dunn would tick all boxes. He has been a great exponent of baseball for Chicago White Sox. He has scored 354 home runs, and cruises into an elite group along with legend such as Albert Pujols. However, here we are speaking of past times; 2001-2010. Dunn’s last year’s antics wouldn’t earn him a place even in gully games. A pathetic 11 homer and a rate of .159 is nothing to write home about.

Over the years, even with his bulky frame, he has managed to develop a balance between his homers and strikeouts. His all-round play and elegance of walks has earned him kudos and fans. Chicago White Sox would eagerly love to have their star player practice his heart and soul and return triumphant. It is no secret that Dunn is a slow slugger and takes his time even on practice tracks. Here is keeping fingers crossed for the 2012 season!

Meanwhile, big money is going to roll into Toronto Blue Jays and yet the doubling of respective payrolls might not be enough to script a change in their fortunes. They have been consistently faring 4th for many years, and General Manager Anthopolous would love to make some calls. He has Albert Pujols and Fielder in his armor, and Santos to keep things steady. He has also managed a quality catcher and devised a thorough bullpen with Cordero, Santos and Kelly Johnson. Throwing out white elephants like Vernon Wells.

Colby Rasmus is supposed to infuse new energy into the bloated team, or so at least President Paul Beeston would pray. Of late, they have conjured scores of .500 pretty regularly, and it is only a question of putting strategies intact; pitching and catching is the name of this game.
