Iniesta: “It is wrong that people to expect from Spain only at victories with 3-0″

Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta, stressed that national European and world champion has not lost the desire to win trophies. Vicente del Bosque‘s men are generally considered to be the favorite to win the European Championship 2012, but along the journey so far in Poland and Ukraine have proved effective in the same game which were imposed after the previous edition:

“It is true that there is less desire to win from the previous participations, is a state that is never lost” – said Iniesta in an interview for Deportes Cuatro – “We are very eager to win the Euro and to write another history.”  World Champion has been criticized by Spanish press due of evolution of the match won with 1-0 against Croatia, but Iniesta does not think the team performance was below expectations:

“I do not think Spain has played poorly – Barcelona midfielder said – Other teams have also had matches that have evolved to its fullest potential. We had difficulties to Croatia, but there are things that happen to any team. When a national team evolves over time at a high level and win trophies expectations are very high, but fans should have confidence in this team is not correct to say that not playing as well as we did in Championship World. Also make mistakes when you consider that we have to win all parties with 2 or 3-0. Spain made a mediocre game before returning home and now it can afford a national evening less successful, but who keeps the race.”

On the quarter-finals that we played against France, Spain, Iniesta said: “We won the right to be considered favorites, but France is a very strong team, will certainly be an intense match. I think they try to keep as much of the ball, and for us will be important to have a larger effective when managing the possession.”
