Slowly but surely, the winter sports season approaches… on top, the European or world championships are scheduled, as the new stage of the World Cup. Again we can watch competitions from three continents, Europe, Asia and North America.
In the sport of ski jumping starts so-called Team Tour, consisting of three competitions in Germany in Willingen, Klingenthal and Oberstdorf with individual samples of jumping and ski flying, that two race teams. The first of them at the end of the weekend in Willingen.
The Biathletes meet at Kontiolahti in Finland in the sprint test (Friday), tracking (Saturday) and the mixed relay (Sunday). The competition will be a break before the world championships hosted by popular German resort Ruhpolding, between 1 and March 11.
The alpine skiers will compete in next 10 days in Andorra at Soldeu and in Russia at Sochi, especially testing the slopes and facilities of the next host of Winter Olympics are very important. There will be evidence of descent, giant slalom, slalom and combined.
For the founders the next host will be the city Nove Mesto from the Czech Republic, with races of 10 km for women and 30 km for men (Saturday), 4 x 5 km relay for women and 4 × 10 km for men (Sunday). A long journey has to face the Nordic Combined racers who will compete later this week to Almaty in Kazakhstan. The two competitions consist of a jump from the trampoline in the middle and freestyle ski race on the distance of 10 kilometers.
Thursday, at Altenberg in Germany runs the World Sledge, in all disciplines the favorite athletes being the host athletes which are leading authoritative in all charts except the World Cup men’s doubles sled, leading a couple from Austria.
