We look at movies for well written stories, to be transported to other worlds, other eras, and even other planets. But what we do if such an epic as Kill Bill would not have negative characters? The negative characters are often more fascinating than the hero. Many actors prefer to play in this kind of roles because they know they also raise more resources, and in most cases can win prizes with a character more evil than the role of a hero.
“A Clockwork Orange” is one of the movies that have played a crucial role in my perception of violence in cinema, but I was able to identify at some level with the main character, Alex DeLarge, a man who opposes the rules set by society where he lives. His answer to all problems is the violence, rambling with his friends in search of victims for incredible beats. There is a scene, that of rape, the director Stanley Kubrick was very direct in visual expressing, the whole sequence is described by a violent reaching paroxysmal levels.
In a movie where nothing is what it seems, the public is invited to not lose any detail, each moment is vital for the discovery of Keyser Soze. 08. The Dark Knight
When you watch The Dark Knight and you see Heath Ledger in action, in a reinterpretation of the famous role, you realize that Nicholson’s portrayal of Joker was a harmless kind of man who can drink a beer without having to be afraid that will hit the table with head in the next second. Ledger deserves his Oscar win in 2009, the character which gives life is a perfect description of pathological cases, a mentally ill as often meets on the big screen.
07. Cidade de Deus
Those who read the novel “City of God” by Paulo Lins, the film’s representation of Ze Pequeno, “Cidade de Deus” favela owner from Rio de Janeiro, will seem pale in comparison with that thorough description of negative character has in the book. I dare to say that Tarantino exceeds his master with the verbal duel sequence of Colonel Hans Landa and French farmer suspected of hiding Hebrew under the floor of the house.
Anton kills unscrupulous; his behavior is like a machine. He will not threaten you and will never be sorry if he kills you. Will tell you just to sit up straight, or will saying with a smile on his face that simply must to do it. The sadism is the strength of John, but we did not realize this until the end of the film, because in all the movie we find his qualities of man. Norman Bates is the kind of polite receptionist that gets you in the middle of the night in his motel, gives you the best food, takes care of you and served with everything you need. Firstly because it is the protagonist of a film titled Psycho, and secondly, because he keep his mother dead in the basement, dress like her and imagine that they talk together.
