2012 brings some science fiction movies with interesting stories: time loops and time travel, Nazis on Mars, Brad Pitt beating with zombies, George Clooney astronaut and long awaited Alien 5.
10. Universal Soldier: A New Dimension
A new movie with Van Damme in Universal Soldier role is welcome for evenings in the action movies that want to brainwash us, thinking manufacturers to bring to the attention of fans soldiers, robots. The film also stars Dolph Lundgren, and special effects are spectacular. The film is available in 3D and was released in America in May.
09. Battleship
The film is directed by Peter Berg and made by Hasbro, the company that made Transformers. Singer Rihanna has received the role of Marine officer, tough woman who has no arms no mystery that starts, with her team in a battle against aliens. The cast also includes: Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård and Brooklyn Decker.
08. Iron Sky
Conceived as a science fiction comedy, Finnish Iron Sky production is about some Nazi refugees in 1945 on the Moon, where they build a real army, a basic course in secret. They plan to invade Earth sometime in 2018. The film is directed by Timo Vuorensola and is made with a very small budget.
07. Total Recall
The film promises to be good, especially since this is where the novel We Can Remember It For You Wholesale by Philip K. Dick story about dreams and reality. Total Recall is directed by Len Wiseman and has in the main role Colin Farrell. The film also stars Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale and Ethan Hawke. The film is a remake of the famous 1990 Total Recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone.
06. The Hunger Games
A film directed by Gary Ross and released to the U.S., the action placed in an apocalyptic future, the ruins of the continent west of North America, now transformed into panem nation. It is composed of 12 districts and is elected annually by two representatives of each district, a boy and a girl to participate in the bloody called Hunger Games. The film plays Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks and Donald Sutherland.
05. Cloud Atlas
Directed by Tom Tykwer and Andy Wachowsky, the film tells six stories, placed in different temporal and spatial contexts that come to intersect in some way. The story seems like Babel. The film plays Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Hugh Grant and Susan Sarandon. Film trailer has not yet appeared and neither the release date.
04. Lockout
The film is about a prison, located somewhere in space, where they are trapped most dangerous criminals. When the American president’s daughter goes to a humanitarian mission on the space platform, it is taken captive, along with the crew of the Ms. One of the prisoners there. In exchange for her freedom, Snow agent (Guy Pearce) is sent by the Chairman Warnock to save his daughter.
03. World War Z
The film will be released only in December 2012 and is expected to be quite good. Directed by Marc Forster and starring Brad Pitt story of an employee of the United Nations trying to save the world from extinction. World War Z is about a plague that turns humanity into zombies. Subject is not new, hopefully the story is different from other films of its kind.
02. Looper
Directed by Rian Johnson, Looper comes with a subject of passionate love of science fiction time travel. The film plays Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The story is about a time loop that is caught Joe character, played by Joseph Gordon Levitt and Bruce Willis, who found no other option than suicide to escape. U.S. will have the premiere on September 28, 2012.
01. Prometheus
The fifth film in the Alien series, Prometheus has placed before the first Alien action, one in ’79. Prometheus is a sci-fi horror directed by Ridley Scott, they hope to find extraterrestrial origin that has struggled all Ellen Ripley. The film plays Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender. The film will be released in U.S. on June 8th, 2012.
