In some movies where the action takes place over several decades, and the characters, of course, are affected by age, makeup artists are those who have the responsibility to make all actors appearance. Sometimes debate whether it’s appropriate to hold auditions to find actors that resemble older character that will make it or it’s easier to leave the situation in the hands of specialists in makeup.
10. Back to the Future II
Even if it was not nominated for the best makeup, Back to the Future II should be noted for the way in which Michael J. Fox was made to look as if it was 47 years. Even if Fox currently has 50, aged more beautiful, make-up artists’ work can not be overlooked. Protagonist of all three films in the series, Michael J. Another successful and credible makeup is that of Ray Liotta from drama Blow. Adam Sandler plays one of his few dramatic roles in Click, a film, a remote beam the miraculous is the protagonist of the future now. Determined to change the things the protagonist does is to sink ever more trouble, which affects families and lives apart. Extraordinary transformation experienced by Marion Cotillard in the biopic La Vie en Rose was worth won Oscars for Best Actress and Best Makeup. And who else to interpret the famous French singer Edith Piaf, but a very talented actress born in Paris. Marion gave a very convincing interpretation of the drama of the artist’s life and because exceptionally make-up portrayed her until the last moments of life.
01. J. Edgar
We end this list with an actor who has grown in two hours as others in decades. Leonardo DiCaprio has teamed up with Clint Eastwood famous director to illustrate life FBI – J. Edgar Hoover. He has been instrumental in establishing the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1935, where he remained director until 1972. Along with DiCaprio, have advanced in years with makeup and actors Naomi Watts and Armi Hammer. Eastwood’s attention to visual details, and presentation consistent with reality as events unfortunately did not achieve box office success of the film, but film critics have balance in this respect.
