Back in the 90′s there were a multitude of excellent consoles out and the games produced from that decade are simply some of the best of all time. Unfortunately trying to pick JUST ten games is rather difficult but I think we have it narrowed down to the top ten lucky contenders.
10. Grand Turismo
Grand Turismo was one of the best racing games out at that time and offered some of the most advanced graphics for that era. This game easily stole the tenth spot in our list with its unique features and graphics.
09. Star Craft
Star Craft has been around for many years and is still a widely popular game to this day. the first star craft was a computer game which quickly drew the attention of many gamers. It has since evolved but the original game remains in our memories as one of the most addicting games from the 90′s.
08. Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong was a classic favorite. Not only were its graphics and characters fun and highly animated, but the various levels were highly addicting and it was a great game for the whole family.
07. Goldeneye 007
The original 007 game was just as fantastic as the movies, if not more so. This first person shooter game easily took the fifth spot on the list and it was truly an excellent game that had many sequels.
06. Pokémon
This is by far one of the most popular and beloved games in the entire world. Millions of kids, teens and even adults became addicted to the Pokemon series and the original games were a huge success.
05. Street Fighter
One of the best fighting games that came out from the 90′s this game style was copied by many games produced later on.
04. Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid could easily take the first spot in anyone’s list for the top ten, because it is one of the most enticing action games. Not only was the storyline fantastic, rife with surprises and twists at every turn, but the scenarios and features on this game were some of the most advanced for the era.
03. Super Mario 64
Another game that was great for the whole family. There have been numerous spin offs from the original Mario Game and this one is one of the best. Its bright colors, difficult levels, and enticing puzzle challenges were addicting and many people who played the original games still play the sequels to this day.
02. Zelda Ocarina of Time
This has one of the greatest plots, second only to the first game on this list. This game was one of the most enthralling games of the 90′s and I personally played the game through multiple times.
Final Fantasy 7 truly deserves the top spot on this list. It was known as the game that sold the PlayStation console because millions of gamers became entranced by its graphics, storyline, and battle features. By far this game beats out any contenders for top spot and it is one of the most widely loved, and most popular game in the world.
