Now that new South Park episodes are coming out regularly with the continuation of the fifteenth season there are some new and incredibly interesting episodes, one of which is titled ‘Bass To Mouth’. The episode is by far one of the funniest in this season and it does a great job of highlighting some current issues that are going on in todays world.
I’m sure you have heard of the WikiLeaks and are also fully aware of the fact that cyber bullying has caused a great deal of pain for many students, well this episode manages to bring both of those issues together in a strangely epic and outlandish episode with some incredibly interesting characters.
It starts off as the kids getting the ‘scoop’ on the other kids in school through a website that publishes all of their secrets. Such secrets involve kids embarrassing themselves in class, admitting their feelings for another student, and much more. The kids soon begin to turn on each other because no one else should know the secrets however the group eventually finds out that it is the evil doing of the rat WikiLeaks.
Meanwhile the teachers try to convince Eric to not harass one of the students who accidentally made a mess in his pants in front of a lot of people. The teachers are afraid that the student will try to kill himself and they were still dealing with problems from a student’s deal in a previous year.
The two stories combine into one epic episode with characters brought in from a much earlier episode to fight WikiLeaks. The gerbil Lemmiwinks goes to save the day and the group of boys discovers a valuable lesson.
Overall the episode was excellent and its satire on both WikiLeaks and cyber bullying was well played in a comical plot. The episode is preceded by the latest episode titled “Broadway Bro Down”
