Jail was a little known reality/ documentary show that premiered on MyNetworkTV. Unfortunately MyNetWorkTV is just a stepping stone. The not very well known TV network got the show little popularity (as you can tell by its incredibly underdeveloped Wiki page here: click me). Thankfully MyNetworkTV managed to get Jail noticed a little bit because now its going to be airing on the ever popular Spike network.
Spike has millions of viewers and an expansive show lineup. Despite the other popular shows featured on the network, Jail is going to be taking the Thursday evening spot and will air each week. Spike is already has commercials airing, boasting about their newest TV show arrival for their Thursday night lineup. Jail will be an excellent addition to the popular network and will compliment the other shows perfectly.
Despite its incredibly obvious name, Jail is not all it seems. Ya sure you are thinking its going to feature some cool footage about what its like in jail, but don’t judge Jail just yet. This show does a complete walkthrough with the inmates from their initial capture and through their entire journey behind bars. The show is very comedic at times and you can get the full story on the criminals who are brought in. Many of these criminals will be drunk or will act crazy, making it an intense, and hilarious, show to watch.
The show bears some similarity to other law enforcement shows, and there is little wonder as to why. The show was created by none other than John Langley; the man who created COPS. The Jail television show first premiered on September 4, 2007 and has had a total of sixty episodes so far, however it will surely see an increase in popularity with its arrival on Spike.
Be sure to catch Jail next Thursday and get a glimpse at the harsh (and often hilarious) moments behind bars!
